Hostile Environment First Aid Responder (HEFAR)

Accredited Hostile Environment & First Aid Training in Jordan. Stratum Levant, in partnership with Black Aspect Safety, delivers the only accredited Hostile Environment First Aid Responder (HEFAR) programme of its kind in Jordan.

Stratum Global Risk in partnership with Black Aspect Safety delivers the only accredited Hostile Environment Awareness and First Aid Responder (HEFAR) training in Jordan.

Designed for organisations and personnel operating in complex, unstable, or higher-risk environments, HEFAR combines internationally recognised Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) with advanced international first aid and trauma response capability.

Unlike many regional HEAT programmes that provide only a certificate of attendance, HEFAR delivers two regulated and internationally recognised qualifications designed to support operational readiness, organisational duty-of-care, and international compliance requirements.

The programme has been specifically developed for:

  • NGOs and humanitarian organisations

  • Journalists and media teams

  • Diplomatic and embassy personnel

  • Corporate travellers and field teams

  • Researchers and operational staff working internationally

Internationally Recognised Qualifications

Delegates successfully completing the programme will receive:

  • Highfield Level 4 Award in Hostile Environment Awareness (RQF)

  • Highfield Level 3 Award in International First Aid Response (RQF)

These qualifications are internationally recognised and designed to support organisations operating in higher-risk and complex environments.

What is HEFAR?

HEFAR is an integrated hostile environment and first aid training programme designed to prepare personnel to operate more safely, confidently, and effectively in austere or unpredictable environments.

The course combines:

  • Hostile environment awareness

  • Personal security awareness

  • Operational risk management

  • Incident response procedures

  • Advanced casualty management and trauma response

Why Choose HEFAR in Jordan?

HEFAR is currently the only programme in Jordan combining accredited hostile environment awareness and accredited international first aid response qualifications within a single integrated operational course.

Many HEAT courses in the region provide only internal certification or attendance confirmation. HEFAR delivers recognised regulated qualifications aligned with international standards and organisational duty-of-care requirements.

Jordan provides a stable, accessible, and operationally relevant regional environment capable of supporting realistic hostile environment training scenarios.

This allows organisations to deliver meaningful, immersive training within a controlled setting while avoiding many of the logistical and security limitations associated with conflict-affected countries.
