SMART – Safe Mobility & Risk Training
SMART (Safe Mobility & Risk Training) is a structured driver safety and mobility programme designed for organisations operating across the Middle East and other complex environments.
SMART focuses on reducing vehicle related risk, the most common cause of injury and incident for personnel operating in the region.
Driver Safety in the Middle East
For organisations operating across the Middle East, vehicle movement presents one of the highest and most consistent risks. Incidents are often driven by challenging road conditions, long distance travel, remote areas and limited emergency response capability. Despite this, driver training is often overlooked or limited to basic instruction.
A Practical Approach to Mobility Risk
SMART is not a tactical driving course. It is a structured programme focused on safe decision-making, risk awareness and vehicle handling in real-world environments
The objective is simple:
reduce incidents
improve driver behaviour
enable safer movement across complex environments
Delivered in Jordan
Training is delivered in Jordan, providing access to a range of realistic driving environments. This allows participants to train in conditions that reflect real operating environments across the Middle East, including:
urban and high-density traffic
highways and long-distance routes
rural and off-road terrain
For most organisations operating in the region, the greatest risk to personnel is not security incidents, it is vehicle-related incidents and accidents. SMART addresses this directly by focusing on the area of highest exposure.
SMART is delivered by Stratum Global Risk as part of a wider travel risk management capability. This means training is supported by:
regional operational knowledge
·real-world experience of movement across the Middle East
24/7 operational support capability
